Table Curl Photo

  

This is an old picture of Dr. Anthony Barker doing a table curl. It is from a magazine printed during the turn of the last century.

There are actually two methods of doing the table curl. One is as shown in this photo, which bodybuilding champion Val Vasilef made famous when he table curled 150 ½ pounds at a bodyweight of 198.  It was done with a fully extended arm on a weight bench. Impressive to say the least!

The other method is to keep your body close to the table so that your arm is at 90 degrees at the start of the movement.
